Why facades need regular cleaning
Sydney’s mix of salt air, traffic pollution, humidity and bird activity builds up on every surface of a building. Left alone, organic growth holds moisture against render and paint, stains become permanent, and sealants and coatings break down faster than they should.
A scheduled facade clean keeps the building presentable for residents, buyers and tenants, and extends the life of the finishes you have already paid for. It is also the ideal moment for a close-up look at the condition of the facade, something that is only practical when a technician is already on the wall.

Our method
- Site inspection to identify the substrate, coatings and any fragile areas.
- Method chosen to suit the surface: low-pressure soft wash, gentle detergents or targeted treatment for mould and staining.
- Ground protection and exclusion zones set up; residents notified of the schedule.
- Drop-by-drop cleaning from the roof down, with runoff managed at ground level.
- Close-out report including any defects spotted (cracked render, failed sealant, rust staining) so you can plan ahead.

How often should a facade be cleaned?
Most Sydney buildings benefit from a facade clean every one to two years, and more often near the coast or busy roads. We can build it into a preventative maintenance program.
Will cleaning damage our paint or render?
Not with the right method. We assess the surface first and use low-pressure soft washing and suitable cleaning agents rather than blasting at high pressure.
Can you clean windows at the same time?
Yes, combining facade and window cleaning in one visit saves rigging time and cost.
Do residents need to be home?
No. We notify residents of the schedule and ask them to close windows and bring in items from balconies on the day we pass their level.
